Save Money & Get Healthier by Going Green!

Why Go Green?

It’s been several months since the media reported on a global study that linked the regular use of national brand home cleaning products to seriously decreased lung capacity.

This 2018 independent study was based on 20 years of research and reveals a sobering fact:

Using cleaning products made with toxic chemicals like chlorine, ammonia, and quaternary disinfectants as little as once a week is as damaging to one’s lungs as smoking a pack of cigarettes a day, every day, for 20 years!¹

“I’m thankful that I removed all these products from my home! I was a loyal Tide user, so were many family members.

I know now that Tide is banned in Europe and contains 7 known cancer causing ingredients and crushed fiberglass as a sudsing agent. Funny, it’s banned in Europe but it’s the #1 selling laundry detergent in the USA. BIG PROBLEM, we are brainwashed by marketing campaigns.

If you weren’t aware, now you are. There ARE better options, ones that are plant based, biodegradable that actually work BETTER and they are SAFE for your children and pets to be around. And they DON’T HAVE WARNING LABELS OR CHILD PROOF SAFETY CAPS on them either.

When you know better, you do better!”

“Saw this today and thought it was a good share!

I know it is the holiday season and these lotions/sprays are often a part of cute little gift baskets that seem like a perfect gift, but it is SO important to pay attention to what we are putting on and into our bodies!

Women and even young girls are using these toxic products daily, and yet we wonder why issues like infertility and hormonal imbalance are becoming a major issue.

Lotions, candles, makeup, perfume, bath bombs, face masks, etc…. Go to any mall or even stores like Walmart and Target, and you’ll see this stuff being sold EVERYWHERE… they’re now targeting young girls as it’s being sold in stores like Justice and Claire’s.

Common ingredients in these products that you should avoid!!:

❌ Diazolidinyl Urea: this chemical releases formaldehyde into your body. Formaldehyde can irritate the respiratory system, cause skin reactions, trigger heart palpations, and cause both immune system toxicity and CANCER in humans.

Formaldehyde is a known carcinogen has been found in Johnson and Johnson baby care products, skincare, antiperspirants, and hair dyes.

❌ Tetrasodium EDTA: contains formaldehyde and is a known skin and lung irritant.

❌ BHT/BHA: The International Agency for Research on Cancer classifies BHA as a possible carcinogen, and BHT has been linked to organ system toxicity and is a known skin, eye, and lung irritant. BHT Can also act as a tumor promotor in certain situations. BOTH ingredients are BANNED in Europe and Canada!

❌ Disodium EDTA: neurotoxin linked to brain damage and liver changes in animals.

❌ Methylparaben and Propylparaben (ANY parabens) directly linked to breast cancer. In mice it had weak estrogenic effects which caused damage to the sperm formation in the testes. It may contribute to sterility in males, hormone imbalances in females, and cause early puberty. A relative of methylparaben, sodium methylparaben has been banned in the E.U. Some other common names for paraben’s are ethyl-, butyl-, and isobutyl- all ending with paraben.

These do not have to be labeled, so sometimes companies will not list within ingredients panel.

❌ Ceterareth-20: This ingredient is a penetration ENHANCER, meaning it alters the skin structure and allows all of these chemicals to penetrate deeper into the skin. It is considered to be a moderate to severe health hazard, and it is HIGHLY unsafe for damaged or irritated skin!

Our skin is our largest organ. These ingredients get absorbed into our bloodstream within 26 seconds. Toxic exposures will put a child at higher risk for diseases later in life.

The E.U. bans over 1,300 chemicals that we are still using in many products here in America! If you think the FDA is regulating this stuff and looking out for our well-being, think again.

It is SO important that we inform ourselves with this information so that we can make better choices – for our own health, but especially for our babies’ health!”
